Your Valentine’s Day Date Guide

These date ideas deliver

2.4.2022

Although Valentine’s Day isn’t technically a holiday to some, we are very much supporters of celebrating love. Therefore, we created three very detailed guides that deliver all things romance. From candlelit dining to a bathetic sunset, we promise you’ll find something to love, while feeling very much *in love.* Enjoy!

For the Artsy Couple:

If you enjoy thrift shopping, upcycling, art shows, and are generally creative, take your partner on a real treat in this date day turned date night.

  • Start with an early lunch at Pikunico, to really give your taste buds a treat. This fast casual restaurant highlights authentic Japanese cuisine with a Californian flare. Pro tip: try the chicken sandwich.
  • Once you’re done with lunch, head over to Still Life Ceramics and take one of their pottery classes. Their workshops are open to beginners and professional potters alike, so whatever your skill level this activity is both fun and engaging.
  • After getting your hands dirty, head over to the Broad to scope out their latest exhibit. The beloved infinity rooms may even be reopened!

For the Couple That’s Into Classic Romance:

If Love Actually is a movie you or your partner watch every year -- whether it’s Christmas or not -- this guide is for you.

  • Start the afternoon with a couples mani / pedi at Powder Beauty. Nothing says, “I love you,” like perfectly primped and polished nails. We’re kidding, obviously. But it doesn’t hurt!
  • Then, stop at Jean Pascal Florist and hand select a special bouquet with your partner. Flowers for two are better than flowers for one.
  • Finally, end the night with dinner & drinks at Rappahannock for all things vibes, food and romance. Dine inside or out and enjoy fabulous views as you’re transported to a world of delicious food, drink and revelry.

For the Outdoorsy Couple:

If you’d rather be outside in nature than anywhere else, and enjoy doing things during the day vs the night, this guide has got you covered.

  • Start your morning with a hike. The Elysian Trail near Dodger Stadium is a swift 15 minutes away from ROW and offers a variety of trails to choose from based on your experience levels.
  • Then head to ROW for holistic body therapy thanks to The Bartholomew Method. This transformational body-mind realignment uses a combination of techniques including hot stone therapy, reflexology, effleurage, lymphatic drainage detoxification, herbal heat wraps, cerebral spinal manipulation, and aromatherapy.
  • After feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, grab a bottle of wine at Flask & Field. Thanks to a bevy of varietals and an impeccable knowledge of wine, you’ll find something to enjoy for a little midday picnic -- be that in your backyard or at a local park.

This Valentine’s Day is yours to explore! ROW is simply a great place to do it. We hope you enjoyed this guide. See you soon!
