Coffee Shops

October 1st is National Coffee Day and you’ll need to head to ROW DTLA to see just what the buzz is about. You only have to park once here to get your cup on at any of our FOUR award-winning coffee houses, each dedicated to the art of creative roasting in their own way.
Better yet, use that buzz to explore the rest of the tenants while you’re here. Shop boutiques like Poketo or Bodega for one-of-a-kind looks and gifts, take a class at Still Life Ceramics or Makers Mess, hit the reformers at Coreology, go from day to night at one of our Michelin-star winning restaurants, or bring the buzz home with a bottle from Flask & Field.
GGET is bar-style coffee service at its best, with everything you come to expect from classic espresso beverages, to some unexpected adds like the Fizzy Hoppy Tea and Whippersnapper. Better yet, their food menu includes a yeasted waffle with stone fruit and ricotta that pairs well with any roast. And the experience doesn’t have to end, because you can buy a pound or join GGET’s club and take their special brand of buzz home with you.
Dulce is a ROW DTLA tenant favorite, offering specialty coffees and teas along with an infamous breakfast burrito that sells out early every morning. Hailing from Little Tokyo, Dulce has also become known for its Vietnamese iced coffee and blueberry matcha lattes. But the best part is, Dulce is an experience in itself—the perfect place to meet a friend or colleague for the “hot gos” over the perfect cup.
Tartine’s Coffee Manufactory isn’t just a coffee shop; it’s an ambitious coffee laboratory where the “maddest,” most creative guest roasters dabble in coffee experiments. But while Coffee Manufactory’s science sets them apart, their baseline is a celebrated espresso has been called “pleasantly sweet” by the LA Times. Stop in to experience one of their public cuppings and you’ll never see (or sip) coffee the same away again.
Paramount Coffee Project (PCP) is straight out of Australia, with a dedication to the specialty coffees and food format typical of a Melbourne Cafe. As such, you’ll find several focused espresso-with-milk combos that pair perfectly with their furikake and radish-topped avocado toast, or to-die-for chicken hash. Plus, their space is so infinitely ‘grammable‘, you’ll want that cup in your hand to last into the early evening.
But what to pour all of those beautiful new blends into? Not to worry, because Kinto has got you covered. With their artful range of premium Japanese coffee-ware and tools, your table will look as sophisticated as your new coffee tastes. Their pour-over collection will make you the envy of your coffee-loving friends; oh, and did we mention they’ve got a thermos that puts your old travel mug to shame?
