Souvenir of the Sunday is pleased to have Lorien Stern and Dave’s Clubhouse for their two person show Funiture!

In the art show, "Funiture," Lorien Stern and Dave McPeters (Dave’s Clubhouse) present a collection of everyday functional objects reimagined with stimulating colors and nature in mind. Working primarily with wood, ceramic, and metal, each piece is designed to serve a purpose while also standing as an art piece. Among the playful creations, visitors will find an albino alligator chair, a bouquet of flowers blossoming into a table, a toilet adorned with dinosaurs, and a sink covered in lizards.

With Funiture, Stern and McPeter’s approach is to reimagine and celebrate ordinary household items. Spending time at home is a huge part of our life.  We take for granted the functional objects in our home, these things we interact with everyday and don't really think about. Through our creations Stern and McPeter’s hope to bring smiles and a renewed appreciation for the functional objects we surround ourselves with.
