
Hayato was born from Chef Brandon Go’s vision to create the first chef-owned, truly authentic Japanese Kaiseki restaurant in LA. The chef’s Japanese roots drew him to dedicate two decades studying traditional Japanese culinary technique and training under three star Michelin chefs in Japan. Showcasing Japanese cooking in its truest, purest form, Hayato offers an intimate kaiseki dinner experience that has earned the prestigious honor of two Michelin stars. In addition to that accomplishment, Hayato was also named as the number one restaurant on LA Time’s 101 Best Restaurants in 2022. The restaurant is be a romantic reproduction of Japan using Kyoto teahouse architecture—everything from the shades to the sake cups are designed to transport the diner to Japan during their experience.
